Individual Psychotherapy for Adults
It takes courage to share your deepest thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a therapist. I would be honored to hear your stories and help you heal. Within the safety of a one-on-one and confidential relationship, you can unload negative feelings and explore your history, without worries about potential fallout from such honest conversations. I strive to help you gain self-understanding and practice new strategies, so you may experience positive changes in various aspects of your life and relationships.
Psychotherapy is the treatment of choice for many mental health conditions, especially mild to moderate ones. I am experienced in adjustment disorders, depression, general anxiety, grief and loss, and life transitions. For specialty areas, please see:
Couples Therapy
A serious romantic relationship can be one of the most wonderful experiences. It can also be one of the most frustrating. Whether you have been together for 30 years or 3 months, being partnered can bring up deep and unexpected feelings and reactions. Our own family background and previous relationship experiences all come into play as we form a strong emotional bond with a romantic partner.
I am a Level 1 Trained PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) therapist, and incorporate other techniques such as EFT (emotionally-focused therapy). To learn more about PACT and how it may help your relationship, please visit the Couples Therapy page.
